Harvard University’s Christine Ma-Kellams did a study on conventionally good looking people and celebrities to find out if they had better luck in their romantic and matrimonial relationships besides the now well-documented advantage of getting more attention and better jobs.
Her findings found a few interesting things:
- Â Good looking men tend to get more partners, but they may not stay with them for long, they may get divorced sooner as well.
- Celebrities who were seen as more attractive were also susceptible to shorter marriages and higher divorce rates.
So what this shows, is that people who are perceived to be physically attractive are not guaranteed to have a happier or longer married life but according to this study may, in fact, have shorter and less happy marriages.
