For nearly a century or more, women were forced to deal with personal image disruption because that is how someone or an industry (women’s fashion) wanted them to look if they were to feel like real and desirable women. But, in the last few decades, men have been also experiencing a more aggressive image issues because of the same reason.
A lot of men feel that their manhood is on the line if they do not look like the industry created image. Steroids are the chemical of choice to achieve the most wanted image. Steroid addiction in men can have life-threatening consequences as long term use can affect the heart and other organs besides the more common side effects like hair loss, acne, aggression, and depression.
Steroids have generally been associated with the sports arena. However, a large number of users are not professional sports participants. The unrealistic male body images have had an impact on adolescent and teenage boys who want the idealized look.
