Men have a tendency to overestimate how sexually interested a woman is in them when they first meet but they tend to underestimate the sexual desire of their partner when they are in an established relationship.
In order to counteract the feelings of sexual rejection within their relationship, men are more prone to under-perceive the sexual interest of their partner .
Three separate studies were conducted involving 101, 44 and 84 couples, in order to measure the participant’s sex drives. This study continued over a three week period.
These showed that there is a correlation between behavior and perception. When a partner is satisfied sexually, they behave in more positive manner. Partners react based on how they feel about their relationships.
