Treatment Options for Premature Ejaculation and reclaim your sexual health.

  • Premature ejaculation treatment options
  • Various methods of PE treatment

Men are expected to have some control over early discharge while engaging in sexual activity. Premature ejaculation may be present if a man feels unable to stop it from happening when it does.

It's time to speak with a sexologist when PE hinders you from experiencing the sexual pleasure you deserve and was born for. Whether or not your ejaculation starts earlier than usual will be determined by the diagnosis.

The sexologist will first listen to you in order to comprehend the medical problem you are dealing with. If the doctor feels it is necessary, a medical examination to look for early ejaculation may come next.

Therapy for Premature Ejaculation

Early discharge therapies often fall into one of three categories: medications (or drugs), psychological therapy, and behavioral therapy for premature ejaculation. One or more PE treatment options may be included at the discretion of a doctor. If you are uncomfortable with the course of treatment, you can address it openly with your sexologist.

Psychological Therapy

Psychological counseling for Premature Ejaculation encompasses both sexual relationship counseling and working through your feelings and emotions that may have contributed to the early ejection issues. Finding methods to prevent early discharge and getting to the bottom of issues are the goals. Premature ejection-affected couples can use it to learn how to fix their relationship issues and support one another while receiving treatment.

A sexologist may employ this as the sole form of treatment or may occasionally add medicine or behavioral therapy to it.

Here are some Self-care Methods to treat premature ejaculation (PE)

Behavior Therapy

Exercises in behavioral therapy aid in building tolerance to delay the release and improves the sexual health condition. Behavioral treatment includes some methods, such as the squeeze method, and the stop-start method.

Squeeze Technique

By using this technique, you come close to ejaculating but refrain from doing so. You or your lover stimulates your penis until you are just about to ejaculate. When you are close, either you or your partner tightly squeeze your penis, causing you to lose the erection partially.

This method tries to increase your awareness of the progression of feelings towards climax. The squeeze technique may help you gain better control and postpone the climax without the use of medicines or other medications.

Stop-Start Technique

The stop-start technique involves you or your partner stimulating your penis till you ejaculate. When you or your partner are about to ejaculate, you stop and do not reach the climax. Once you regain control over the urge for sex and begin to feel it, you or your partner will begin stimulating the penis once more.

The stop-start technique involves you or your partner stimulating your penis till you ejaculate. When you or your partner are about to ejaculate, you stop and do not reach the climax. Once you regain control over the urge for sex and begin to feel it, you or your partner will begin stimulating the penis once more.

You or your partner must repeat his procedure three times, and after the climax is reached, you ejaculate for a fourth time. You must apply this technique three times each week before realizing that you have improved ejaculation control.

Exercises to treat Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation often occurs due to weak pelvic floor muscles present under the urethra.

It is called the Kegel exercise, which develops strong pelvic floor muscles, and you will be able to contract and pelvic muscles relax when you want. With this control, you will have better pelvic sensations when you are having sex, and you will come more powerfully when you want. It will help your awareness of what is happening inside your body and therefore gain better control. You can do these exercises almost anywhere lying down, sitting up, or just standing.

The Exercise

  • 1. Tighten the pelvic floor muscles (not the buttocks or thighs or stomach muscles) all at once. Strongly hold this contraction to the count of five; slowly relax for a few seconds. If you find it easy to hold until the count of five, then increase the hold up to the count of ten.

  • 2. Repeat step one. Always remember it’s important to relax for a few seconds between each round of tightening the pelvic floor.

  • 3. Try to do a set of 10 squeezes.

  • 4. Do the whole exercise three times every day. Anytime will do. While you are doing the pelvic floor muscle exercises, avoid the following:

    • • Holding your breath when contracting pelvic muscle.

    • • Pushing down instead of squeezing.

    • • Tightening your tummy, buttocks, or thighs.

You can keep developing these muscles at any time. Squeeze them and relax as you want, and anywhere: waiting for the bus; at staff meetings; whilst working, and of course at home. Make a positive self-statement of how much you have developed your pelvic floor muscles and how you can squeeze them and keep them squeezed for as long as you wish.

Questionnaire to identify the impact & presence of PE

  • We offer a quick questionnaire that the doctor could want you to complete. These inquiries are hypothetical, yet the doctor may ask them:

  • How frequently do you suffer from PE?

  • How long have you experienced PE?

  • Does it only apply to one partner, or do all couples experience it?

  • Do you have to go through PE for each sexual or romantic encounter?

  • When engaging in sex, what kind of sexual activity do you have PE—during foreplay, masturbation, sexual contact, or visual stimulation?

  • What kind of sex do you engage in most frequently, and in what ways causes PE?

  • Is the PE severe enough to interfere with your sexual activity? If so, describe how.

  • Has your connection with your partner changed as a result of PE?

  • Are there any additional circumstances, such as drug or alcohol usage, that you believe affect the PE's quality or severity?

Lab testing may or may not be required, and Sexologist Doctor can identify it after consulting the person suffering from Premature ejaculation. In the case of the physical cause of PE, it may require lab testing.
