The Connection Between Exercise and Sperm Quality

These days, doctors know that exercise can be an important component for fertility, particularly for men who are obese. While the effect of exercise is different for every man, a healthy dose may actually increase your chances of getting your spouse pregnant.

While some studies have shown that exercise can help sperm quality in men, other studies show that too much vigorous exercise may lower fertility.

Obviously, there is a requirement of further comprehensive studies in this area, but exercising helps reduce weight which in turn does help with the quality of sperm. But beating infertility naturally is not as simple as it sounds.

“Our results show that doing exercise can be a simple, cheap, and effective strategy for improving sperm quality in sedentary men. However, it’s important to acknowledge that the reason some men can’t have children isn’t just based on their sperm count. Male infertility problems can be complex and changing lifestyles might not solve these cases easily.”
