Studies show that testosterone levels affect what men find attractive in females ie. men with higher levels of testosterone find women who are more feminine attractive- women who have smaller jaws, bigger eyes, and higher eyebrows.
Research suggests that this attraction is due to our instinctual needs to reproduce. Having an ideal partner to carry on life is a reason that a man with higher levels of testosterone would seek out women who have the genetics to reproduce the highest quality offspring.
Women who characteristically possess more feminine traits are unconsciously perceived to have higher quality genes. However, newer research suggests that this may not be 100% accurate in that feminine traits are also associated with unfaithfulness and other negative qualities.
Researchers performed blind tests and found that attractiveness for men with higher testosterone may be greater but only in the short term but not in the long term.
