Historically speaking older generations have worried about the sexual behaviors of younger people. Current research suggests that younger generations are no longer as interested in having sex after the age of 18.
Research has found that since turning 18, less people are engaging in sexual behavior that was typical previously. Many even have no partners at all.
One theory behind the absence is that people are more concerned for their safety in the college and online environments. In addition, researchers believe that it could be the result of the availability of porn, living with parents, later marriage, and online entertainment.
They also believe that teens are potentially waiting until they are ready. This change is believed to lead to healthier lives but potentially could affect romantic relationships.
