Approximately 1 out of 4 men suffer from a low sex drive, usually a side effect of a psychological disorder like stress or depression or because of low testosterone. New research has now found that just 14 days of exposure to morning light can boost a man’s testosterone levels thus increasing his sex drive.
In the experiment, two groups who suffered from low sex drive were compared. The study showed an increase of 1.3 nanograms per milliliter in the group exposed to light while the control group had no change. The group exposed to light also showed a significant increase in their sexual satisfaction.
Since it’s already a known fact that the sexual function goes up during spring and summer, the results were no surprise. Researchers were pleased to prove their hypothesis and find a possible alternative treatment for men with low sex drive. Though this research is promising, a longer and more extensive research needs to be done before the findings can be truly validated.
