Now the men can take some responsibility too. This is not as permanent as getting a vasectomy which is a big commitment that some men aren’t willing to take. It’s not any less effective than female birth control either.
This is a great first step to having a long term male contraceptive . Why should only women have to worry and take precautions? Yes, condoms have been around but there are many reasons people don’t want to use them such as allergies or just not liking the way they feel, so this will allow for more freedom and comfort during sex.
Of course, more testing and research is needed but it shows a lot of promise as being a safer alternative to vasectomy as it has fewer complications and can be a effective means for birth control.
