Is the Size of the Male Organ That Important? Think Again

May 2, 2012 by Dr. Arora Team

mens penis size

The debate over penis size and its significance in sexual satisfaction, intimacy and relationships has been one of the hottest ones. Men often are speculating whether their penis size is normal, while society has projected myths and stereotypes about what constitutes a “normal” or “ideal” size.

It is crucial to address this topic from a balanced perspective, considering both the physiological and psychological aspects of sexual satisfaction.

In this article, we will explore the truth about penis size, look at common myths, and understand the role of size in relationships and intimacy.

Penis Size

So, how many of us know the average penis size? Is it the most commonly believed figure, more than 6 inches?

Well, not at all. Numerous studies have attempted to answer this question, and on average, an erect penis measures around 5.2 inches while the flaccid size is roughly 3.6 inches.

This clearly demonstrates how false are your numbers and how much damage can this information do. Most men who feel they are not endowed enough have just the right size.

Small Penis Size: A Common Concern

For some men, having a smaller-than-average penis size can lead to anxiety, insecurity, and a sense of inadequacy. This concern is entirely normal and understandable, considering the societal pressures and media portrayals of “ideal” masculinity.

However, it’s essential to emphasize that size is just one aspect of the complex equation of sexual satisfaction.

Contrary to popular belief, bigger does not necessarily equate to better sexual performance or satisfaction. Research consistently shows that size alone does not guarantee a fulfilling sexual experience. Other factors such as communication, emotional connection, and technique play significant roles in achieving sexual gratification.

Moreover, the vagina is highly adaptable and can stretch to accommodate different penis sizes comfortably. In fact, various studies prove that most sexual partners prioritize other aspects of intimacy over penis size.

Another important aspect is confidence which is a game changer in the bedroom. Men who feel confident about themselves and their bodies tend to have more satisfying sexual encounters.

Confidence can surely compensate for any perceived shortcomings in penis size.

Relationships and Intimacy

For maintaining relationships and intimacy, it’s essential to recognize that a fulfilling partnership extends far beyond the physical aspect of sex.

Building and maintaining a healthy relationship involves emotional connection, trust, communication, and shared experiences.

While physical attraction is undoubtedly a component of intimacy, it’s not the sole determinant of a successful relationship.

Open and honest communication between partners is crucial. Discussing your desires, concerns, and expectations can lead to a more satisfying sex life. If you have worries about penis size, sharing these with your partner can help alleviate anxieties and help them understand your perspective.

Emotional intimacy is often more significant than physical size when it comes to maintaining a successful relationship.

Relying on exploring new sexual experiences and experimenting with different techniques can add excitement to a long-term relationship.

Remember that sexual satisfaction is not solely dependent on penis size but on the overall experience.

Performance anxiety can be a significant concern for men who worry about their penis size. However, it’s crucial to understand that performance in bed is not solely determined by size.

Instead of worrying about performance try to inculcate these habits:

Relaxation Techniques: Learning relaxation techniques can help reduce performance anxiety. Deep breathing, meditation, and mindfulness exercises can help you stay present and focused during sexual activity.

Foreplay and Communication: Prioritize foreplay and communication with your partner. Understanding each other’s desires and needs can lead to a more enjoyable and satisfying sexual experience.

Experimentation: Be open to trying new things in the bedroom. Experimenting with different positions, fantasies, and role-play can add excitement to your sex life and enhance performance.

Consulting a Sexologist or Sex Doctor

If concerns about penis size persist and negatively impact you in any way, it may be beneficial to seek advice from a sexologist or sex doctor. They are adept at addressing sexual problems and can guide you on various aspects of sexual health and intimacy.

A sexologist can also offer psychological support and counseling to address the emotional issues surrounding penis size concerns.

Sexologists can also educate you about sexual techniques and strategies that can enhance intimacy and satisfaction, regardless of penis size.

Learning to communicate effectively with your partner and exploring new ways to connect can greatly improve your sex life.

Bottom Line

In the world of sexual relationships and intimacy, it’s essential to debunk the myth that penis size is the sole determinant of satisfaction and fulfillment.

As a side note, if you still feel that your size is below average and that you have to increase the size of your penis, then I suggest you talk to your doctor or a sex specialist so that you can learn about the implications, side effects and the effectiveness of the type of method you want to use for increasing the size of your male organ. Do this before you try any type of treatment.
