
While many of us strive to feel satisfied and fulfilled in life, we can often find ourselves chasing after the wrong things to achieve this, literally. Robert Waldinger, a researcher from Harvard, discovered that those who have close emotional relationships are often happy and healthy well into old age.
An important finding is that people who don’t have healthy emotional connections with others now can change and it’s not too late to start at any age. Safety is an important factor. People need to know that they’re safe in expressing their emotions to others. It’s an issue of vulnerability and trust.
